Missing Letters

This is a writing game but can be useful for sparking ideas. Write out the alphabet down the side of the page so a letter for each line. Then write a sentence for each line but omitting the letter at the beginning of the line. So if it says (a) you have to write a sentence with not a single a in it!

This works even better if you can make the lines follow on from each other!

If you like the exercise then you can move on to writing a whole page with out the letter and see where the writing takes you!

If you want to make it even harder then you can leave out two letters – see how far you get with this!
